Dhumavati

Dhumavati is the smoky form of Shakti. She is also known as the eternal widow.  The Mother Shakti without Lord Shiva. She is described as ugly and also called Alakshmi, the one without radiance.

While being ugly and fearsome, she would bless with her right hand to those who can see the divine mother in her. The black crow on her flag symbolizes the dark forces and black magic.

Dhumavati is an alternate incarnation of the Divine Mother Goddess. Worship of Dhumavati is usually done in a completely nude state, in a crematorium or in a lonely spot on the darkest night in the descending moon cycle.
